The Akrapovic Racing and Evolution exhaust systems have been designed especially for Super Duke riders who want to tease even more out of their bikes. The complete system delivers greater power to the rear wheel and saves a lot of weight. This makes the Super Duke a shade more manoeuvrable. Not to mention the extra sharp appearance. The new silencer design of the Akrapovic Racing and Evolution exhaust systems suits the aggressive naked bike look perfectly.The exhaust is designed as a 2-1-2 system, with two conical header pipes leading into a Y collector. From here on to a cylindrical connecting pipe and finally on to the two silencers. The difference between Racing and Evolution headers lies in the materials used. The Racing version is made from high-quality stainless steel, while the Evolution uses a special titanium alloy. The performance characteristics of the two systems are identical. The individual components are connected with sleeve joints secured with silicon-shielded springs. Both header pipes are prepared for the use of lambda sensors. The silencers are also designed specially for the KTM Super Duke. They are attached to the subframe with specially developed Akrapovic carbon clamps. All parts of the Evolution silencer are made from titanium. The exhaust pipe is produced with millimetre precision in a specially developed hydroforming process. The silencer end cap is made of carbon. The result is impressive: 9kg less weight plus significantly more power and torque.
